How To Make Alkaline Water
Staying healthy is all about maintaining a good pH balance.
The pH scale, as you probably know, is a measurement of acid versus alkaline. The pH scale is measured from 0 to 14 — 0 is extremely acid, 14 is extremely alkaline, and 7 is neutral.
Your blood pH is typically between 7.38 and 7.44, which is slightly alkaline. Your body automatically maintains this range, but as you might guess, the more acid we create through poor dietary choices, lack of exercise (or too much exercise), stress and other factors, the harder your body has to fight back to maintain its alkalinity.
This fight is what causes cellular stress, and eventually, disease.
By contrast, alkaline-forming foods and lifestyle choices help the body maintain its alkalinity instead of hindering it, and this keeps the body healthy.
Obviously, then, it makes sense to seek out as many sources of alkalinity (antioxidants) in your life if you want to maintain and even regain good health — but have you ever thought about whether your water was alkaline or acidic?
Water, by nature, is supposed to have a pH of 7, perfectly neutral… but that’s not the case in today’s world.
Most people realize that tap water has many pollutants and should be purified before drinking. But even then, the best tap water can be is neutral. And most bottled water is actually acidic! So are all sports drinks, sodas, coffee, tea, and practically every other bottled drink.
Consider this… If you’re trying to live a healthy lifestyle, you’re trying increase the amount of water you drink. So it makes sense to find a way to make your water alkaline — just like a serving of vegetables!
Two of the best ways to do this are with an alkalizing water machine (i.e., Kangen water) or with HydroBoost, a water remineralization supplement from Hallelujah Acres.
A Kangen water machine purifies tap water, then alkalizes it to your specifications, from a pH of 7.0 all the way up to 11.0; it also makes your water more hydrating and makes it an antioxidant in the process.* But not everyone has a Kangen machine or access to a local business that offers it for free (like Hallelujah Acres’ Health and Wellness Store does).
The next best thing is distilled water treated with Hallelujah Acres HydroBoost re-mineralizer (formerly WaterMax).
HydroBoost alkalizes distilled or reverse osmosis water, bringing it to a pH of 8.0 or higher — voila! Instant alkaline water!
Due to its antioxidant nature, water treated with HydroBoost also boosts your body’s protection against free radicals, boosts hydration to your cells, and boosts nutrition with more than 70 ionic minerals and trace elements! One 8 oz. bottle of HydroBoost will treat 48 gallons of distilled water.
Just a few drops is all it takes to make a glass of distilled or reverse osmosis water… and it only costs 3 cents per serving!

* NOTE: Kangen water machines do not remove fluoride without an optional pre-filter. If your tap water contains fluoride, you may want to consider this pre-filter, especially if you are battling a chronic condition and are drinking large amounts of water from a Kangen machine.
